The Entrepreneurs from Grande Baia, Guandong-Hong Kong and Macau led by Mr. Forest Tang, Managing Director of Grupo Top Builders Group Ltd, meet His Excellency Minister of Commerce and Industry Mr. Nino Pereira at MCI office Bebora Dili, to seek investment opportunities and participate in the development process in Timor-Leste.

During the meeting, Minister Nino Pereira said Timor-Leste is a less developed country and needs cooperation with foreign investors, to strengthen the economy and benefit local people to develop various sectors in Timor-Leste.

“We really need to strengthen the economy in this country, therefore your presence is part of pushing economic development in this country, we have received guidance from the Prime Minister to open and give more opportunities for cooperation especially foreign investments, to see the opportunities that we develop this country, we have an industrial development policy which focuses on the development of the agricultural sector, in the manufacturing industry, livestock fisheries, tourism civil construction and we think it is more important to create conditions in the industrial park located in Ulmera and Maubara, which is Timor-Leste need more as a less developing country to benefit local people to develop their businesses”. Economic cooperation that Timor-Leste has with countries such as China, member countries from Europe, Japan, America, including CPLP countries, to develop Timor-Leste and promote commercial economic cooperation. Attended the meeting were the Head of the Minister's Office, Director General of Industry, Director of the Industrial Park Department, as well as advisors.
