The Executive Vice President and Secretary General of the Association of Youth Chinese Entrepreneurs in Timor-Leste and his team met today with Minister Nino Pereira at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry building.
At the meeting, Minister Nino Pereira asked the Association of Youth Chinese Entrepreneurs in Timor-Leste to collaborate with the Government of Timor-Leste to control Chinese traders in Timor-Leste, to organize good sales activities in stores established by Chinese traders, to maintain normal prices and not sell expired products.
Minister Nino Pereira is very concerned about the state of stores that are not organized, sell some expired products and unbearable prices. Because when Minister Nino Pereira went to the field to inspect stores in the city of Dili, he detected that the sales activities of Chinese traders are not well organized, selling some products out of date and also at abnormal prices.
The Executive Vice President and Secretary General of the Association of Youth Chinese Entrepreneurs in Timor-Leste, Rudy Y. Kwan, commended the Government of Timor-Leste for calling on the association to play a role in controlling Chinese traders in Timor-Leste, to not violate applicable regulations in Timor-Leste related to commercial activity and consumer protection.
