CELEBRATION OF THE FALINTIL DAY FOR THE 50ᵗʰ TIME WITH THE CENTRAL THEME "EXTENDING PEACE TO THE WORLD" IN RAEOA 🇹🇱

RAEOA, 19 August 2025 – The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Nino Pereira, took part in the ceremony marking the fiftieth anniversary of the National Liberation Armed Forces of Timor-Leste (FALINTIL) at the Oebau football field, in the Oe-Cusse Ambeno Special Administrative Region (RAEOA).

The celebration of the 50ᵗʰ anniversary of the existence of FALINTIL, under the motto "Extending Peace to the World", began with a thanksgiving mass at the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima and continued with the laying of flowers at the Santa Rosa cemetery in RAEOA, to honor the heroes of the struggle for independence.

The 50ᵗʰ anniversary celebration of FALINTIL was attended by the President of the Oe-Cusse Ambeno Special Administrative Authority (RAEOA), Mr. Rogério Tiago Lobato, with his delegation, the Vice-Minister of Social Solidarity and Inclusion, Ms. Céu Brites, the Command of the F-FDTL and the Ministry of Defense, PNTL RAEOA, Veterans, and Religious leaders.
