Rabilau, October 17, 2024
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI), through the National Directorate of Marketing, organized a Local Product Fair as part of the Rabilau Festival 2024, held at the Maubisse Administrative Post in the Municipality of Ainaro.
Starting with the festival, business groups showcased various cultural heritage items and local products from Timor-Leste. The groups mobilized by MCI sold products with potential in the domestic market, and the sale of imported products that are already produced in the country was prohibited at the fair.
The products allowed at the MCI-organized booths included bottled waters such as Leste, Gota, and Fresca, as well as alcoholic beverages like Whisky Kuda Metan and Whisky Spirit of Timor, among other food items, highlighting the diversity of local products.
In addition to food products, the fair also featured handicrafts in various designs and styles.
The exhibition organized by MCI will conclude on the last day of the Rabilau Festival, which runs from October 16 to 18, 2024.
