MCI Minister Holds Meeting with ASEAN Focal Points

The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Nino Pereira, held an internal meeting today with the focal points for ASEAN affairs (Technical Focal Points for the Consultative Committee, Working Group, Sub-Committee, and Focal Point Meeting) at the MCI Cabinet meeting room in Fomento, Mandarin.

The purpose of the meeting was for the ASEAN Focal Point Team to present to His Excellency the Minister the strategic action plan for 2026-2030, as well as the work action plan for 2026-2027. These plans align with the National Roadmap for the Implementation of the Economic Community Agreement (AEC), which Timor-Leste outlined following its transition to Full Member status within ASEAN.
