Dili, 26 June 2025 โ The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Nino Pereira, officially opened the Youth Co-Lab activity, organized by the Alumni of the Youth Parliament of Timor-Leste (APFTL) and the HAKFOUN team, themed โPromoting Youth innovation in the productive sector for inclusive economic growth in Timor-Leste,โ held at the Fundaรงรฃo Oriente in Dili, Timor-Leste.
The Minister of MCI, Mr. Nino Pereira, appreciated the APFTL initiative in organizing this activity, providing space and opportunity for productive groups to express their ideas and initiatives during the event.
โI appreciate the creativity and initiative of APFTL in organizing more events like this and creating more Youth Co-Labs to provide space for young people to support, inspire, motivate, and encourage one another, this shows a sense of responsibility in giving importance to any activities that have a positive impact on youth. We need to recognize this,โ Said the MCI Minister.
The objective of the Youth Co-Lab is to create a space for sharing knowledge and experiences among producer groups, young entrepreneurs, the private sector, government authorities, financial institutions, and academic institutions, in order to strengthen collaboration in the productive sector.
On this occasion, Minister Nino also visited each exhibition booth to speak with the productive groups who showcased their creativity during the event.
This activity was attended by, Director of Oxfam in Timor-Leste, Mr. Pankaj Anand, Public Institution, TIC TIMOR, I.P, Development Partner: DFAT, PARTICIPA, PROSIVU, TOMAK, UN Agency: ILO, Academic Institutions and Research Institutions; UNTL, DIT, UCT, UNPAZ, UNITAL, LAโO HAMUTUK and productive groups such as: TILOFE, EAMO, FJDE, SERA LALANO, AST RABEKA, BOFAN, Batara Noodles, Kios Metenek, GHEK, Parcic, Aroma Timor and members of APFTL.
