MCI Holds Bilateral Meeting with the Governor of NTT

His Excellency the Vice Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Augusto Junior Trindade, accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Staff 2, Director General of Industry, Coordinator of the Legal Support Office, Inspector of the Inspection and Internal Audit Office, and Advisor 2, held a bilateral meeting with the Vice Governor of East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT), in the meeting hall of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Fomento Mandarin, in Dili.

In the meeting, bilateral issues between Timor-Leste and Indonesia were discussed in detail, especially regarding work at the border, how to re-establish a market at the border, and how to facilitate the movement of goods and people across the border, so that the communities can have faster access to the essential needs required by both peoples.

The meeting also expressed gratitude for their presence in Timor-Leste in response to the invitation to the Dili International Trade Expo 2025 (DITE), which is being held for the first time in Timor-Leste’s history. They accepted the invitation and confirmed their attendance, which Timor-Leste appreciates as a sign of neighborly friendship.

The Vice Governor of NTT, Mr. Johanis Asadoma, expressed great satisfaction at receiving the invitation to participate directly in the DITE alongside hundreds of other members, seeing it as an opportunity to meet the participating nations and further explore the presentations during the expo.
