30th AEM-CER Consultation

His Excellency the Minister and Vice-Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Nino Pereira and Mr. Augusto Jรบnior Trindade, the indicative leader of SEOM, together with the delegation, continued to participate in the 30th AEM-CER Consultation held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
The meeting underscored the critical importance of operationalizing the two protocols of the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (AANZFTA) and implementing the AANZFTA Implementation Support (AIS) program, in order to translate the agreements already concluded into tangible benefits, with a strategic focus on strengthening the capacities of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to fully participate in a more resilient, digital, and sustainable regional supply chain.
The consultation was chaired by Malaysiaโs Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, and also attended by the ASEAN Secretary-General, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, as well as representatives from ASEAN Member States, including Timor-Leste as an observer.
