Inauguration of the USD-MCI Building in Ermera Municipality

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI), through the National Director of Human Resources, Mr. Jorge Ferreira — representing the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Nino Pereira — joined staff members to inaugurate the new District Service Unit (USD-MCI) building in Ermera Municipality.

In his speech, the National Director of Human Resources, Mr. Jorge Ferreira, expressed his gratitude to all entities, particularly the President of the Ermera Municipal Authority, the Municipal Director of Land and Property, and the local community for their contribution in allocating the land to the MCI.

"This new building will provide a workspace for the assigned staff to facilitate better service delivery and address concerns within the commerce and industry sectors," stated the DNRH Director, Mr. Jorge Ferreira.

The ceremony also served as an opportunity for the MCI to strengthen its relationship with local authorities and the community. During the event, the new building received a blessing from Father Ricardino Mendonça Castro.

The inauguration was attended by various stakeholders, including representatives from the Ermera Municipal Authority, the Police Commander, the Director of Land and Property, and other guests, showing support and solidarity for the development of the commerce and industry sector in Ermera.
