MCI Minister Participates in National Seminar on the 2026 Budgetary Outlook

The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Nino Pereira, participated in the seminar on the 2026 Budgetary Outlook, held at the Ministry of Finance, Ai-tarak Laran, Dili.

This national seminar was organized by the Members of the Commission C of the National Parliament (PN), which handles Public Finance matters. The seminar served as an important moment in the annual budgetary process, providing an opportunity for constructive dialogue among the National Parliament, the Government, Autonomous Institutions, International Partners, and Civil Society.

The main objective of this budgetary outlook seminar is to reinforce transparency and accountability for everyone in the management of public finances, ensuring that all budgetary decisions contribute to sustainable development in line with our National Strategic Development Plan 2011-2030, the five-year Program of the IX Constitutional Government, the annual action plan, and the annual state budget for well-being, as per the government's plan in Timor-Leste.

The Budgetary Outlook Seminar was held over two days, October 16 to 17, 2025, with participation from all Members of the IX Constitutional Government, Autonomous Institutions, International Partners, and Civil Society.
