MCI Minister Holds Meeting with Strategic Plan Working Group

Dili, October 17, 2025 - The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Nino Pereira, held a meeting with the Working Group for the Coordination and Monitoring of the Process for the Elaboration of the Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for the years 2025-2035.

The objective of this important meeting is to establish clear mechanisms for planning the actions that must be developed to meet the goals, targets, and the six-month deadline already set for the elaboration of the MCI Strategic Plan, including the mobilization of Development Partners and a consultant.

The Strategic Plan is a critical phase of the public policy management cycle, which is why it is very important to define actions and evaluate the degree of compliance with these objectives, measure their impacts, and ensure the correct application of public resources.

The Working Group is composed of a total of nineteen (19) members, with the Director-General of Corporate Services, Mr. Leonardo Guterres de Carvalho, serving as the Coordinator.
